Privacy

This English version is a translation for your convenience. Only the German privacy policy (Datenschutzerklärung) is legally binding.

1. Controller

2. What data we process

• Contact form: name, email, subject and message – to answer your enquiry.
• Membership: first name, last name, address, postcode, town, email, optionally phone, date of birth and comments – to manage memberships, invite you to the general meeting and handle the membership fee.
• Sponsorship enquiry: company, contact person, email, optionally phone, interest, budget range and message – to deal with your request.
• Server logs: When you visit the website, our hosting provider stores technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time, page requested) for operation and security.

3. Hosting and forms

The website runs as a static site hosted by Hostpoint AG (Switzerland). Form entries are transmitted via our form service provider and forwarded to the board. In the process, data may be transferred to countries outside Switzerland, in particular to the USA. We make sure that adequate protection is in place, e.g. through the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Note for the board: TODO: Formular-Dienst eintragen, sobald entschieden (Hosting: Hostpoint AG). Läuft das Formular über ein PHP-Skript auf Hostpoint, entfällt der Satz zur Übermittlung in die USA.

4. Cookies and tracking

We don’t set any cookies of our own and use no analytics or tracking tools. In your browser we only store your language choice and your choice in the cookie notice (localStorage), and for the length of your session whether automatic language detection has already run (sessionStorage); this information never leaves your device. The Trailforks map (section 5) only loads once you click on it or allow it in the cookie notice; YouTube videos always start only when you play them. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

5. Third-party content (on click or with your consent)

Some content only loads once you actively click on it or allow it in the cookie notice:

• YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC): videos in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Playing a video sends data to Google.
• Trailforks (Outside Interactive, Inc., USA): map and trail status on the bike park page. Loads on click, or automatically if you allowed external content in the cookie notice. Loading it sends data to Trailforks and may set cookies; the widget scripts come from pinkbike.org (also Outside Interactive, Inc.).

The map on the contact page is a static image (© OpenStreetMap contributors). Only when you click a map link are you taken to OpenStreetMap or Google Maps.

6. Social media

We link to our profiles on Instagram, Facebook (Meta Platforms) and YouTube. These are plain links – no data is transferred until you click them. On the platforms, their own privacy policies apply.

7. Retention

We only keep data for as long as it is needed for the purpose in question or the law requires it. We delete member data once you leave the club, unless we are obliged to keep it.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected and deleted, to receive it or have it transferred, and to object to its processing. To do so, write to us at alpenbikepark@outlook.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC/EDÖB).

9. Changes

We update this privacy policy when our website or the legal situation changes. Last updated: Oktober 2026.
